[Commentary]
Even though the koi is of high quality and beautiful pattern, it has to have a dignified look to be called the best. This champion of Nogyo-sai, Taisho Sanshoku (6 years old / 81cm), has "the dignified look".
The Koi is recognized as a role model that displays perfect anatomy from head to tail as well as itsexcellent Oyagoi's heritage.
Moreover, this koi won the primary first prize for dignity represented through body conformation, well-balanced four hi patterns on face, left side of body, right side of body, and tail with thick sumi belt around its body at the same time.

[Commentary]
This Nishikigoi was born of Oyagoi, named "Sadazo" raised by Dainichi Koi Farm. The characteristic of this Koi is its matured massive body, and it's important to spend time in body development, even more so than pattern development, in other words quality over design. This Koi, 7 years old, 85cm, didn't have high quality patterns 5 years ago. However, when the time came, its pattern was grew in beautifully and it won the second prize. This Koi is capable of expending its body and its pure white skin and Ginrin has appealing elegance. In addition, its sumi had the best quality. This Koi is a shining example of koi quality and elegance. |
